So, on Saturday was the huge gothic party. Really nice. You could see some really cool outfits. Fun was had, pictures were taken. Slept most of Sunday, but that's OK, because we didn't have class on Monday. The oral exam is a bit earlier than I expected, so I may go to England a bit earlier. I'm still not sure.

I've (almost) finished writing a Perl script to build and install the kernel automatically. I still need to find a way to edit /etc/lilo.conf so that the new kernel gets added. And I don't mean adding a kernel to the end. I'd really like to substitute my custom kernel with the new one. If I read it into an array and the modify it sounds like the best way.

While trying to get a small kernel so that it gets loaded fast into the relatively-slow memory of my laptop, I've managed to stop the lid-down button from working, or at least it doesn't get recognized. It may also be related to running the -mm kernel, but I don't think so.

I've finally received the CD's with the driving stuff from a certain big-brother country who drive on the wrong side of the road, as much sense as it might make. Let's call it Britland for now. So, the CD's are there. The practical is quite nice, except that it wont let me run on a higher resolution than 860*480, which is quite crap, considering I've got an nVidia GeForce FX Go card, and a panoramic 15" screen. Go figure. The official nVidia driver won't install either. I have get ones from Acer. Weird.
